Antigua's tiny sister island seems to be more beach than island, yet it is home to the exclusive K Club, a resort owned and operated by the famous fashion designer Krizia.
Set amid a 230-acre park, the K Club consists of a main building and three dozen cottages. Turquoise and white are the dominant color schemes used, a refreshing sight in the Caribbean where pastel peach and yellow confront you at every turn. The cottages are widely spaced so as to afford guests the ultimate in privacy. Each cottage luxuriously features a shower that opens to the beach so as to prevent you from tracking sand into your room.
The beach at the K Club ranks among the best in the world. It's perfect for swimming and snorkeling. While swimming, you will likely see turtles, tropical fish, and small sharks. Indeed, it's not uncommon for guests to catch their own lobsters while snorkeling and then have the resort's chef prepare these delicacies for dinner. Besides sea-based activities, the resort features tennis, and a nine-hole golf course.
Dining at the K Club is elegantly casual. You almost feel guilty eating Mediterranean food so good that if it were being served elsewhere you would have had to don formal attire. You then realize that dinner is just another feature that makes the K Club magical.
