When you think of romantic country inns, images of New England or the Smokies come to mind, not Costa Rica. Surprisingly, Costa Rica's Finca Rosa Blanca embodies everything that makes great country inns romantic: intimacy, character, and luxury.
Situated on a high, temperate plateau, Finca Rosa Blanca has six unique rooms which enjoy sweeping views of the valley, coffee plantations, and surrounding mountains. Though each room is different, they do share a couple of unifying themes. Each enjoys cabinets, railings, and floors constructed of fine woods and crafted by the artistic Jampols, a local people of tribal origin. Additionally pre-Columbian artifacts are found throughout the inn. Of the six rooms, the most dramatic is the Rosa Blanca Suite. A spacious duplex boasting a separate living room and wet bar, the Rosa Blanca is highlighted by the glass-lined canopied tower bedroom. Carved spiral stairs descend from the bedroom to a fantastic bathroom decorated with abundant foliage and murals designed to resemble a jungle. Here you'll find a stone waterfall feeding an extremely large soaking tub. It's the perfect place to bathe with your lover before retiring for a serene night's sleep.
