This Tyrolean-style inn is the creation of native Austrian Josef Koenig, his wife Sandra, and their Sons Greg and Andi. Couples will love this inn for a warmth and comfort that is customarily reserved for a private home. The interior of the main level, with its arches and cedar beams, creates a cozy and quiet air to the inn. Cedar is definitely in abundance at the Knob Hill Inn. The Koenig family influence is also everywhere. Josef Koenig made the eight-foot ceramic stove in the lobby, architect son Greg designed the rounded windows that line the inn's four stories, son Andi hand-carved the lobby's cedar bar, and Sandra oversees the kitchen staff that will make your breakfast to order.
The twenty double rooms with baths and the four suites all have views of the mountains. The rooms are decorated in a variety of motifs that range from country French to contemporary. The inn's two penthouse suites are favorites of celebrities, captains of industry, and sports figures. Four of the guests rooms and all four of the suites have fireplaces, and all rooms have cable television and mini-bars. Other inn amenities include exercise room, indoor lap pool, hot tub, sauna, ski equipment lockers, an in-house masseuse, fitness room, and transportation to the municipal airport. Downhill and cross-country skiing, a nature trail, four golf courses, and top-notch trout fishing are all nearby.
Guests can treat themselves to Felix, the Knob Hill Inn's restaurant. Felix is considered by many to be the area's finest restaurant.
