If you wish to share the engineer's joys (but don't want any of his responsibilities), you can rent your own rail car. The Sierra Hotel features private deluxe rail cruising. With private bedrooms and three lounge areas, you can move around your luxurious train car as it travels through scenic locales. A special dome level has a glass-ceiling viewing area so you can take in the sights. This is where the meals prepared on board are served. Relax in the spacious main lounge or in the cocktail area located on the lower level, underneath the dome.
