Built in 1988, the Horned Dorset Primavera Hotel stands astride steep hills overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Named after a breed of English sheep, the hotel's architecture is classic Spanish neo-Colonial.
The Primavera does not specialize in activities. Besides its secluded beach, its only other amenities are a pool and a delightful restaurant. What the hotel does specialize in is luxurious serenity. The thirty suites feature four-poster mahogany beds, sumptuous baths, and panoramic views. Be sure to bring books, for your room will not have a television, a telephone, or even a radio. Also, don't expect to bring your children. The hotel allows no guest under the age of twelve and doesn't offer much for older children.
