Brenda Vaccaro and Guy Hector call the Richmont, "The most romantic inn in Tennessee." I think they may be right.
Designed in the architectural style of a historic Appalachian cantilever barn, the Richmont Inn is a romantic sanctuary nestled in the woods of Tennessee's Smoky Mountains. The decor of the main living room is an eclectic mix of beamed ceilings, broad-plank floors, English and American antiques, and French paintings.
Eclecticism continues in the individually decorated rooms named after people prominent in Appalachia's history. Most romantic is the Nanye-hi Room, named after the Cherokee Chieftainess. Its spacious layout includes a cathedral ceiling, a large wood-burning fireplace, Jacuzzi tub for two, private balcony, king bed, and skylight views of the valley and mountains. If this room is unavailable, try for the Robert Mize Room with its folk art decor, double Jacuzzi, and fireplace.
Start your day by enjoying the inn's grand breakfast. Then you can fill your day by exploring the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. When you return in the evening, you'll find one of the inn's award-winning desserts waiting for you before you settle in for another night of romance.
