Honeymoon Vacations

Keswick Hall- Charlottesville, Virginia

And when I found your flesh did not resist,
It was the living spirit that I kissed,
It was the spirit's change in which I lay:
Thus mind in mind we waited for the day.
When flesh shall fall away, and, falling, stand
Wrinkling with shadow over face and hand,
Still I shall meet you on the verge of dust
And know you as a faithful vestige must.
And, in commemoration of our lust,
May our heirs seal us in a single urn,
A single spirit never to return.

This Tuscan-style villa is located on 600 acres of rolling hills in the Virginia hunt country just two hours southwest of Washington, DC. If you're looking to be treated like royalty, than this is your destination.
Keswick Hall has been turned into a fine estate in the grand English tradition by owner Sir Bernard Ashley who was married to the late Laura Ashley. Naturally, the villa is decorated with a variety of fabrics and furnishings from the company. You'll also find an ample amount of exquisite antiques from Sir Bernard's personal collection. There are century-old books and paintings as well.
Bedrooms are individually decorated in a variety of color schemes and feature couches, plump chairs, and cushioned window seats. Six of the forty-eight rooms have whirlpool tubs, while the others feature extra-long tubs. You'll also find heated towel racks, terry robes, and thick towels in the bathroom. Some of the rooms also feature a private terrace with views of the golf course.
The public areas include fabulously decorated parlors that lend an exclusive English country-life ambiance to the place. All guests have access to the Keswick Club which offers a variety of activities including an eighteen hole Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, a fitness center, an indoor/outdoor pool, clay tennis courts, croquet, and bicycles.
