The Sybaris in Mequon is just one cog in this fantasy-themed Midwest hotel chain. Yet thanks to its ten-acre landscaped setting along the Milwaukee River, it stands above the others.
The Sybaris was born in 1974 when Ken Knudson built a custom-designed bedroom for his wife. After completion, several of their friends commented that they too would like to enjoy such extravagance. Thus, Knudson went on to create these fantasies at the Sybaris. In Mequon, you'll be able to choose from several types of rooms ranging from the Victorian whirlpool suite to the swimming pooi suite. For the ultimate experience, try the Sybaris Chalet: a private three-level cottage complete with swimming pool and waterslide.
It should be noted that in addition to room rates, the Sybaris charges an annual $30 membership fee. It does this to discourage uncommitted couples from staying at their hotels.
